I am the one and only ADMIN here. A spammer cleverly named himself Lady Admin for effect. I am working with Invision Power Board, the software company behind this Board, to make sure that this can not happen again.

I am deeply sorry for this. Unfortunately, spammers devote their lives to finding ways to fuck you over. It is a constant war...a battle of code and technology. I have done my best to keep it at bay for our members. This time, the spammers got a leg up. But it will not last.

If someone got malware because of this, I feel terrible. The best malware removal tool I know of is malwarebytes. Get the free downland at http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and run it. DO NOT REBOOT over and over. That is a very bad idea. Just run malwarebytes and follow any instructions it gives you. That should fix you up

It is still possible for someone with bad intent to PM something ugly to anyone on the Board. That is a fact of life on this or any other Board you might be on. It is called life on the internet. Be smart. Don't click on links someone sends to you unless you have a reason to trust them.

We have plugged the hole that was used for yesterday's spam attack. Now, no one can send out more than a few PM messages per hour. The spambot that was here yesterday will not work again....not the way it did.

If you have a spam post from "Lady_Admin" in your PM box, just delete it. I can not do it for you. The contents of your PM box are encrypted...even to me...and I do not have access.

Spammers live their life to wreak havoc and cause suffering so that a few people can make a profit. MasterDale.com and me, Master Dale, do not make anything on this site. It has operated at a loss for 6 years, in spite of the donations towards operating costs by a generous few of you. Every year I dig into my pocket for hosting fees, licensing fees, and service contract. I put hundreds of hours in every year keeping the spammers at bay. I keep this Board "clean" even though few of you participate and help keep this place active. But it was my promise at the beginning...and I am still planning on keeping that promise...to keep this Board open and available as a resource to any newbie or friend who needs it.

A few of you have attacked me personally for being a spammer and malicious spreader of viruses. One user attacked in the most vitriolic way...threatening retribution and exposure across the global internet. Get a life. Grow up. The internet is a risky place.....not because of Master Dale, but because people are too naive to update their antivirus program if they have them at all, because their vulnerable computers get co-opted and used by spammers as the vector by which spam posts get made and viruses get spread, and because they dont have enough sense to NOT click on a suspicious link. I have done nothing to any of you, other than work my ass off to try and keep this place free from internal attacks on each other and free from external attacks by spammers. I am not perfect. But I think I do a pretty good job.
